Final Production

Documentary:

I produced my documentary on Adobe Photoshop CC 2018. I am really proud of my final documentary. Throughout the whole assignment, I spent the most time producing and editing my documentary. I wanted the final product to be as professional as possible. I maintained the same simplistic theme, in terms of the titles and colour scheme throughout the documentary. Overall, I am really happy with the final product. In reflection, it would have been even closer to my original intentions if I had been able to professionally film all my interviews myself. I am still proud of how it turned out.

Documentary Opening Titles:

I produced this on Adobe Photoshop CC 2018. I am really happy with how it turned out. I think it looks effective in the documentary and could even be doubled up and used as a billboard poster to help advertise the documentary. I think also fits in with the theme of my documentary. Overall, I love how this turned out and think it is a huge improvement from my first attempt.

Portrait Poster:

I also produced this on Adobe Photoshop CC 2018. Again, I am really happy with how it turned out. I think this is really effective and continues to carry through the same theme present in the documentary. Additionally, both photos used I took myself. I took them at two concerts I went to last year. As they were small gigs, I was very close up to the artists and managed to get some really good photos. Overall, I really like how this turned out and I was happy that I managed to use my own images, as I didn’t think this would have been a possibility due to the current pandemic.

Landscape Poster/ Billboard:

Once again, I produced this on Adobe Photoshop CC 2018. This is probably my least favourite product that I made. I still like it but I think I could have done something much better. Again, the photo in the background was my own. It’s the full version of the photo used in the portrait poster. I was given permission from the artist to use all the photos I took. I think it was a good last-minute addition to adding the social media icons in the corner to make it look more like a poster. Overall, I was starting to run out of time so wasn’t able to edit it further. I think it does the job but could have been better.

Instagram profile:

I wanted my documentary to have a social media presence, as nowadays that is the main way to promote a brand or business. I tried to make a rough template of what a social media account on Instagram would look like if I were to actually promote the documentary. I think it turned ok as a rough draft just give me an idea of how it would look. In reflection, if I had a bit more time I would have like to have made a rough draft of what my brand would look like on different social media such as Facebook or Twitter.

Concluding quotes:

Again, produced on Adobe Photoshop CC 2018, I designed the last three quotes in a similar style to the beginning titles. I wanted the documentary to keep to a theme and for it to all to tie together. I am really happy with how this turned out. I think they are really effective. It took me quite long to try and find all the quotes for different points in time, but I think I captured it all quite well and it really helps bring my documentary to a close.
